Rachel Mauricio

I believe that Yogasana and meditation are truth-telling practices that teach integrity in our actions on and off the mat. Through awareness of the living breath, we become empowered and more resourced to support ourselves and our communities.

I lead all-levels movement classes based on the postures and meditation techniques of Hatha Yoga. I encourage students to tune into the healing cycle of their breath and the soul intelligence of love, courage, and expansion. I also use body-centered awareness to bring inner and outer strengths into conscious alignment.

I draw inspiration and support from my 500-hour teacher training with Nubia Teixeira’s Bhakti Nova School of Yoga, the Niroga Institute’s Dynamic Mindfulness program, the Sivananda Yoga community, and my current graduate work in Somatic Psychology at California Institute of Integral Studies.
